Marc and family are truly amazing jewelers and even better people. Upon searching for an engagement ring for my would-be fiancee, I initially looked for diamond district jewelers, however J. Albert Johnson popped up as a recommendation. After seeing the reviews I drove over for a meet and greet, to see how true these reviews are.
I almost never post reviews, but I'm more than happy to give 5 stars this time.
Choosing the diamond: Marc really takes the time to educate his clients on what to look for in a diamond. Although I did my homework and educated myself prior to shopping for diamonds, Marc guided me in the direction of what matters in a stone. My fiance gets compliments all the time on how brilliant and amazing her diamond looks, thanks to Marc and his team.
I had wanted a specific moissanite stone that he didn't sell, so he went on the search for it without question. When he couldn't source it out, he setup a brand new account with the manufacturer! My time frame was very sensitive, and he made sure all of this - the revisions, the stone, the wax figure alterations were all done with time to spare. When the ring finally came in, I think he was more excited than I was to have delivered it!
The staff are extremely patient, friendly and familial. You never feel rushed or judged. And they will give you all the time you need and deserve.
Definitely go here for your jewelry needs. I came from out of town to buy an engagement ring here, and I'm glad I did. It is absolutely beautiful and the price was very very reasonable.
I was referenced to J. Albert Johnson Jewelers by a friend who said he had a great experience going through the process of creating a engagement ring with them. To say they are superb jewelers is an understatement! I cant say enough good things about the process I went through with them. Marc at J. Albert Johnson Jewelers really took the time, listened to what I envisioned the ring to look like and presented some great concepts. From the computer-aided images he showed me to the 3D printed band, I was really impressed. Once I had picked a stone, Marc placed the diamond in the 3D printed band to give me an even better idea of what the ring would look like.

He took my rough idea of what I wanted in the ring, combining parts of various rings I saw and liked and created something beyond my expectations. He'll create a CAD drawing of his vision and then create a wax figure of it for your consideration. Then, as was in my case, when he wasn't completely satisfied with the potential of the ring... (HE wasn't) and came up with yet another version. Mind you, I haven't even left a deposit yet - this was all done before-hand!
My fiancé insisted on visiting and purchasing from this jeweler since he used them in the past to purchase watches. So instead of going to a jeweler in Manhattan which was more convenient....we made a visit to J. Albert Johnson in Ct... The service and atmosphere was awesome (family orient)! very friendly! We were very comfortable. They made us feel at home, and Mr.David helped us pick and customize my beautiful engagement ring! I am so in love with my ring! Love this Jeweler! they are awesome!!!
