I met my husband and his climbing buddies at the restaurant. At first I felt awkward entering the establishment in yoga and climbing attire but when I looked around there was a good mix of casual, business casual and sports wear. Ambiance, the presentation our meals and my lobster roll were great and so was our waitress. I like the vibe at Local. We will definitely be back
Beer selection is nice, food is good, service was terrible (actually nonexistent). It's one thing when you're at a table and have to order drinks and food from the bartender. It's something else when the employees consistently walk by your table and don't clear the empty plates and glasses. Will definitely go back, but hoping for a better experience.
Decent beer menu. Food was really good and tasty. But not consistent as far as portions go. Fish and chips was good but small portions of fish. Almost like home made fish sticks. But tasted good.
Meh. Over time this place has lost it's luster. Food is decent, but not the best in the area by any means. Beer is rotated regularly which is nice, but the service tends to be abysmal, even when you are sitting right at the bar. I will go here in a pinch, but I am not a regular anymore. If the service and food variety improved I would love to visit more often.
Awesome beer selection, but I went for the first time and was taken aback by how rude the hostess and than the waitress were. Every restaurant has a different dynamic and if I obviously didn't know how there's worked than they could have kindly explained. 1st we went for beer only so the hostess said we could only go to the bar or outside, no booths as they are reserved for patrons ordering food. When we decided we wanted food I had to insist to the hostess repeatedly that we were on fact ordering food so could we please be seated an available booth. She basically kept insisting we sit somewhere that is bar only and asked more than once, "Are you sure you want food?" Completely rude staff, I honestly have never been more turned off to a place before this experience. It's a shame too because the large beer selection and pretty good food would have been worth going back to. I will be sure to tell people to avoid this place. Many better options right down Post Road.
